Pilates with Paula

Paula has been teaching classes for over 10 years in many health and fitness clubs, whilst also servicing private clients. Paula has gained qualifications in Pilates, Water Fitness, Swimming, Movement/Exercise to Music, Step, Step Advanced, Spinning, Ante Natal Client Instruction, Post Natal Client Instruction, Programming and Gym Instructor.
Pilates is an exercise system designed to lengthen, strengthen and restore the body to balance. Pilates helps to build a strong core and perfect posture. Exercises involve the whole body and are performed on floor mats.

Yin Yoga with Jennifer

Jennifer completed her RYT200 training in Hatha yoga in 2011 at the Spirit of Yoga school, certified with both Yoga Alliance UK and Yoga Alliance International (India). Since then she’s gone on to teach in studios, corporate classes and private lessons. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced class where individual postures are held for longer periods of time. The benefits are similar to other yoga styles: physically increasing strength and flexibility as well as enhancing your mind body connection. However, Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues and joints that might not be focused on in more active classes. Suitable for all levels, Yin is a perfect complement to more dynamic yoga or physical practices.

Lotte Berk with Robert

Robert Clarke was a professional ballet dancer for ten years with Northern Ballet, London Ballet Theatre and Ballet Wales. During this time he was also a staff teacher at the British Ballet Organisation. Since retiring from dance, Robert has worked as a massage therapist and a Lotte Berk teacher. He has the distinction of being the only male Lotte Berk teacher in the UK, and currently teaches at various studios in and around London.
Designed to achieve a lean, supple and toned body, the Lotte Berk exercises will help you improve your curves. Created over 60 years ago by German dancer, Lotte Berk, the moves are based on modern dance, yoga and physiotherapy. Used worldwide ever since by professional performers, athletes and those searching for general fitness.

Barre Basics with Maria M

Maria has been teaching classes for over 17 years and teaching at Aquilla Health & Fitness for 15 years. Gaining experience in Cape Town, Maria studied intensively to qualify as a fitness instructor and personal trainer. Since then she has been teaching in London gaining other qualifications and a wealth of experience.
Barre Basics is an energizing workout using the studio bar and other exercise equipment to sculpt, slim and stretch your entire body.

Barre with Beki

Beki has completed her degree in contemporary dance and is teaching at many professional health clubs throughout London. Barre is a Ballet based workout that is low impact and high intensity suitable for all ages and abilities. Barre classes are a great way to tone, sculpt, strengthen and stretch your whole body. By using elements of ballet technique, Pilates, Yoga and Body Conditioning the classes creates the formula to burn.

Kettle Bell Core

Taught by the Aquilla team, who are all qualified REPS level 3 personal trainers and offer extensive experience teaching classes in various health and fitness clubs. Kettle Bell Core combines a blend of functional movements and HIIT to give an all over workout that will take you to your limits.

Cross Fire & Abs with Maria M

Maria has been teaching classes at Aquilla Health & Fitness for 15 years. Gaining experience in Cape Town, Maria studied intensively to qualify as a fitness instructor and personal trainer. Since then she has been teaching in London gaining other qualifications and a wealth of experience. Cross Fire & Abs is an intense, high impact training routine that uses weights and resistance over a short period of time. It is advanced and tough, however is fun and provides great results.

Taught by the Aquilla team, who are all qualified REPS level 3 personal trainers and offer extensive experience teaching classes in various health and fitness clubs. Abs Attack is a 30 minute high intensity core workout, targeting the abdominals. A great class for those who work locally; you can train, shower and be back at your desk in under an hour.

Core Balance with Angeliki

Angeliki’s passion for general and holistic fitness has lead to her becoming an Exercise to Music Instructor and gaining a Body Balance Diploma. Angeliki has been teaching a combination of yoga and pilates for almost 3 years. Angeliki is also trained as a zumba instructor.
Core Balance is a combination of Tai Chi, Yoga (Vinyasa), Pilates and relaxation, building strength and flexibility through mixing the best of the core disciplines. A class that will improve your mind, body and general wellbeing.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Melanie

Mel takes a creative and energetic approach in all her teachings. Her Vinyasa Flow classes synchronise movement and breath in a continuous flow of poses that aim to challenge her students whilst still having fun. Her classes are suitable for all levels and can be adapted to support each student’s individual practice.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Luisa

Luisa is an experienced certified trainer in NLP, Health Coach incorporating Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga teaching, Reiki and spiritual development to her client´s treatments. Luisa has been practicing Yoga for more than 15 years, alongside with Karate, Tai-Chi and Latin American dancing. Luisa studied Vinyasa Yoga in London and Hatha Yoga in the Sivananda Centre in Austria. The word “Vinyasa” can be translated as “arranging something in a special way,” like yoga poses for example. In Vinyasa yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next.

Total Body Conditioning

Taught by the Aquilla team, who are all qualified REPS level 3 personal trainers. Total Body Conditioning aims to hit all muscle groups, helps to build stamina, muscle, strength and burn fat. A great all round fitness class.

DeRose Method with Suzana

Suzana is a DeRose Method Certified Instructor since 2008, practicing since 2003. She has over 1000 hours of training in the techniques, and over 14,000 hours of teaching practice in DeRose Method sessions. She is also a team member at DeRose Method Soho – Ady Centre. DeRose Method beginner’s practice comprises 4 groups of techniques in the following order: breathing (6-10 mins), cleansing (4-6 mins), physical positions (20-30 mins) and relaxation (6-10mins). The complete advanced practice has 8 groups of techniques, adding 4 more groups of techniques aimed at the localization of consciousness, concentration and meditation.

Boxercise

Taught by the Aquilla team, who are all qualified REPS level 3 personal trainers and offer extensive experience teaching classes in various health and fitness clubs. Boxercise is a 30 minute high impact boxing class, designed to target all muscle groups, whilst helping to improve cardiovascular performance, incorporating pad work and basic boxing techniques. A great class for those who work locally; you can train, shower and be back at your desk in under an hour.

Training in water reduces the weight-bearing stress on bones and joints, whilst the water is used to add resistance, making it an ideal way to train and keep active, no matter what your age or fitness level.

Classes are sequenced in blocks, keeping things varied and interesting each week. Designed to be both physically and mentally challenging, you don’t have to be fit or flexible to join the class but a basic understanding of yoga postures is helpful. Power Yoga is much more than a physical practice, you’ll learn to create your own calm and cultivate your inner peace.
